The 2023 Stone Crab season has just begun and Pinchers along with their partner Island Crab Company are ready with traps in the water. 2023 will see the return of an annual tradition with the Pinchers Stone Crab Festival set for Tin City Oct. 27 โ 29. The event was postponed in 2022 due to the aftereffects of Hurricane Ian.

The history of Tin City and Naples dates back to the 1500s when the Calusa Indians were the first inhabitants in the area. They relied on shelling and fishing in the oyster and clamshell deposits that date back thousands of years.
