So I bought a crowntail a little more than a year ago, and he had a pretty bad spoonhead. But now, it looks like his form has improved and the spoonhead went away! Has anyone experienced this before? These are before photos, I'm going to have to find an after photo. All his spoonhead looks like.

sorry if i came across a certain way. ive never heard of a spoonhead before and the gill flaring does sound like a logical option. i have no experince breeding betta, have no such interest in it nor offer any such advice regarding it. its still a very nice looking betta. i hope you have sucess in your betta breeding projects.
